The Smart TV Solution for Your Dialysis Centre

DialyseTV-2

DialyseTV is a cost-efficient, customised TV solution that can be implemented quickly. It was developed specifically for dialysis centres and improves patient comfort, the working atmosphere and the flow of information.

This helps to make everyday dialysis easier for staff and patients and to make the dialysis process more pleasant overall.

The problem

Peace and Comfort for Dialysis Patients

What patients need is dialysis that is as stress-free and undisturbed as possible. This includes not having to agree on the TV programme with the patient in the next bed or search for remote controls. Unfortunately, conflicts over the TV programme are often still a daily occurrence and place a burden on staff and patients.

Until now, individual TV solutions have always involved considerable effort, such as mounting flat screens on ceilings or installing so-called bedside terminals. All of these solutions require high investment and take several days to implement.

In terms of project volume, existing solutions focus on hospitals with several hundred beds. As a result, dialysis centres are given lower priority when it comes to implementation and any support.

Cost of Conventional Bedside Terminal Solutions
~ 80,000 €
for 50 treatment stations, plus a monthly service fee. An internet connection is also required for operation, and significantly more space is needed at the bedside.

"I am impressed by how smoothly and quickly DialyseTV was integrated into our centres. Patients are delighted with how easy it is to use, and our staff enjoy it too. DialyseTV is a win for patients, staff and centres."

"DialyseTV has proven outstanding at our DTZ Karlsruhe and was enthusiastically embraced by our patients from the very start. It is a great innovation, especially thanks to the additional games and the user-friendly handling. Installation at our 63 stations was quick and smooth, and both the devices and the TV streaming work reliably."

Frequently asked question

Why not simply buy tablets and connect them to the WiFi?

For a dialysis centre, buying off-the-shelf tablets seems sensible at first glance, but it turns out to be problematic:

01

A tablet offers plenty of opportunities for misuse and for accidentally changing system settings, which then creates a high support workload for the dialysis centre staff and disrupts operations.

02

Patients aged 70+ quickly feel overwhelmed by the sheer range of options a tablet offers, especially when the user interface is unfamiliar (high support workload for staff, which is not feasible in terms of either expertise or time).

03

The bandwidth problem, which arises even with a relatively small number of TV streams, cannot currently be solved with off-the-shelf hardware and software:
